One of the biggest issues that create training issues and behavioural problems, is a lack of consistency.
This could be inconsistent criteria, inconsistent cues, inconsistent expectations or anything else where there is a ‘grey’ area.
Dogs thrive on clarity and consistency.
It creates trust, reliability and predictability.
🐶 It allows them to understand the link between wanted behaviour and a desired reward. Therefore increasing the likelihood of that behaviour being repeated.
🐶 Consistency creates trust. Everyone knows where they stand, and as a result it strengthens your relationship.
