It could be food, toys, praise, or even access to their favorite activities. The key is knowing what motivates your dog and delivering it at the right time to build strong, lasting behaviors.
But here’s the catch: even the best reinforcer won’t work if your mechanics aren’t on point.
✅ Timing is everything—reinforce the exact behavior you want.
✅ Clarity matters—be consistent with your cues and rewards.
✅ Delivery should be seamless—your dog shouldn’t feel frustrated waiting for their reward.
